| Family
photographs are passed down from generation to generation. Unfortunately
many mishaps can occur that degrade the quality of the images. Besides
everyday handling and the reaction of the photo paper to human PH and
oils, there are also the effects of sunlight on the original
prints.
With today's digital age, preserving your photographs can be accomplished by use of multi-media avenues. Scanning your originals and reprinting on archival papers that replicate the original work will preserve your heirlooms for generations. Once the images have been scanned, you may also request a set of CD or DVD archived files. This will preserve the images on a second media and allow you to view, print and share your family images. You may request a secondary folder with images saved for web sharing at a lower resolution but with excellent internet viewing quality. We also create DVD slide shows that can be viewed on a standard television or computer. These can be duplicated and shared with others family members. All prints are packaged in acid free clear protective sleeves and transported in display binders. Utmost care is taken with packaging and shipping. Every effort is made to insure safe arrival of your restorations and photo media. Shipping is with a bonded national courier service or if local, we will pick up and deliver to your door. If you have family photos and you are the keeper of those photos, you must take measures to protect your heritage. Consult your family members and decide which images you want to preserve for generation to come. Decide which images you would like duplicated for other family members and what additional media would best fit your families needs. We also stock a variety of acid free photo albums that can be purchased. We have archival sleeves for the common photo sizes. This is one of the most worth while investments you will ever make. Be sure that your children and their children will share the images of your ancestral family tree.

![]() This image suffers from solarization, a process that is a degeneration of the silver halide crystals due to time and exposure to light. When the photo was originally printed, the fixing solution was more than likely exhausted so the images was not properly fixed. This allows the silver halide molecules that were not exposed in the print process to remain within the print paper. These molecules eventually react to light in the adverse manner.
